Question: Is it all right for Christians to consults psychics or mediums?

Answer: No, God forbids Christians to consult psychics or mediums. The Bible states that anyone who consult psychics or mediums are considered unclean or defiled in the sight of God (Leviticus 19:31). In addition, the Old Testament law states that psychics and mediums must be executed (Leviticus 20:27). This indicates the seriousness of the sins of consulting psychics or mediums and practising divination. As Christians, we need to be wary of people who claim to have psychic power or special knowledge to predict the future. Some of these people are scam artists who pretend to have the ability tell the future. On the other hand, they are a number of psychics or mediums who have supernatural power and knowledge from the forces of darkness (Acts 13:6- 10, 16:16-18; 1 John 4:1; 2 Corinthians 11:14). Therefore, Christians should not consult psychics or mediums because it displeases God greatly. Ultimately, the only person who knows and determines our life and future is God Almighty Himself (Jeremiah 29:11). Please cleanse me once again and make me the person You want me to be. I commit my children into Your hands. I ask that You will protect them from the influence of psychics, mediums and other forms of divination. Please teach them Your ways so that they may live a life of faith, holiness and fruitfulness.
