| PAST ISSUE # 106 Questions Kids Ask About God Question: If Matthew 5:44 tells us to pray for our enemies, should we also pray for Satan and his demons? Answer: No, Matthew 5:44 tells us to pray for our human enemies and not Satan and his demons. The Bible states that Satan has been sinning since the beginning (Genesis 3:1; 1 John 3:8). We know that Satan and his demons will never repent because they will be punished by God at the end of time (Revelation 20:10). However, we know God is merciful and gives us, humans the opportunity to repent and return to Him (2 Peter 3:9; Revelation 11:13). Related topic in Issues # 17, 19, 39, 99. Key Bible verses: Revelation 12:7-15 Prayer of children: Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for Your love and mercy. Thank You for giving me the opportunity to know You and ask for Your forgiveness of my sins. Lord Jesus, today, please forgive me of my sins and help me to be the person You want me to be. Amen. Prayer of parents or educators: Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for Your bountiful love and mercy. Please forgive me for taking Your love and mercy for granted. Today, I want to repent of my sins. (Spend a moment to confess your sins to God). Please cleanse me and teach me to become a person after Your own heart. I also want to pray for my relatives and friends who have yet to know You. I commit (name of your unsaved relatives and friends) into Your loving and merciful hands. Please bless them so that they will all come to accept You as their personal Lord and Saviour. Amen. Last words... "And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever." (Revelation 20:10) Next |
