Question: What is heaven like?

Answer: The Bible describes heaven as a beautiful city where God will live with His people (Revelation 21:24, 22:4). The walls and streets of the city are made of gold and precious stones (Revelation 21:18-21). It will always be bright in heaven because the glory of God will give it light (Revelation 21:23, 22:5). There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain in heaven (Revelation 21:4). There will also be no more curse, or anything which is impure, shameful or deceitful (Revelation 22:3, 21:27). We can only imagine what heaven is like. If you ever saw a beautiful sunrise or scenery, just imagine heaven to be exceedingly more beautiful. If you have ever been inside a palace decorated with gold and jewels, just imagine heaven to be exceedingly more glorious. Nothing on earth can ever match the beauty and glory of heaven. But the best thing about heaven is that you will live with God forever.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for heaven. I look forward to the day when I can be with You in heaven. When I look the at a beautiful sunrise or a glorious palace, please remind me to look forward to heaven which is eternally beautiful and glorious. When I look at the despair and hopelessness around me, please remind me to look forward to the eternal love, joy and peace You will provide in heaven. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.
