Questions Kids Ask About God

Question: Why did God choose the Jews?

Answer: God chose the Jews because of one man by the name of Abram who was later called Abraham. God chose Abraham because he has the faith to believe in God's promise and the obedience to follow God (Genesis 12:1-4, 15:6; Hebrews 11:11). In the course of time, Abraham became the father of the Jews through his promised son, Isaac and grandson, Jacob (Genesis 17:4-6; Exodus 3:6). Related topic in Issue # 134.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Abraham and his faith and obedience. As I study about the life of Abraham and his descendents, the Jews, please help me to live a life of faith and obedience like Abraham. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.
