Questions Kids Ask About God

Question: How do I get ready for Jesus' second coming?

Answer: We can get ready for Jesus' second coming by being close to God. We must make sure that we are living according to God's will and purpose as His holy and righteous children. We need to examine ourselves whether we truly trust Jesus as our personal Saviour and Lord. The following questions will help to gauge our readiness for Jesus' second coming:
1. Are you born again? (
John 3:3-7; Issue # 74)
2. Do you love Jesus? (
Matthew 22:37; John 14:23)
3. Have you confessed and repented your sins to God? (
Ephesians 5:5; Revelation 21:27; Issue # 37, 40)
4. Do you obey God's commandments? (
Matthew 19:17; 1 Timothy 6:14)
5. Do you enjoy your quiet time with God by praying and reading His Word (Bible) daily? (
Matthew 4:4; Issue # 76, 77)
6. Do you seek God's kingdom? (
Matthew 6:33)
7. Are you a good steward of your God-given talents, time and resources? (
Luke 19:13-24)
8. Do you have the joy in Christ? (
John 15:11)
9. Are you willing to die for Christ? (
Philippians 1:21)
10. Do you look forward to Christ's second coming? (
Titus 2:13)
If you have sincerely answered 'yes' to all of the questions, congratulations! You are ready for Jesus' second coming. If not, do not despair. You have the opportunity to get yourself ready for His second coming. Related topic is Issue

Key Bible verses:
Matthew 24:37-39, 42-44; 1 Thessalonians 5:2-8, 23; 2 Peter 3:11-15; Revelation 16:15

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I want to be ready for Your second coming. Search my heart, O Lord. Reveal any hidden sins to me so that I can confess them and ask for Your forgiveness. Equip and empower with Your Holy Spirit so that I may live a life pleasing to You. Lord Jesus, I will wait patiently and faithfully for the time when You will come again to reward the righteous and judge the wicked. All blessings and glory to You, Amen.

Last words...
"Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test?" (2 Corinthians 13:5)
